The Week of the Young Child™ is an annual celebration hosted by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) celebrating early learning, young children, their teachers, and families. This year's event is April 16–20, 2018. We’re happy to be taking part in helping to spread the word by posting on our blog every day this week!

Today’s WOYC theme is Artsy Thursday! We’ve picked out some great products that will inspire children and help them develop creativity, social skills, and fine motor skills.

Invite your toddlers to be artsy outside. In general, it makes for much easier clean-ups! This toddler easel is as happy outdoors as it is inside your classroom.

For preschoolers, fill a basket filled with long pieces of yarn, ribbon, paper strips, etc. and invite children to enjoy the craft of weaving with Becker’s Weaving Center. There’s no end product to take home. The pleasure is all in the process!

What are your favorite early learning art activities?
