Use a variety of “loose parts” and modeling dough to create silly creatures.
What are loose parts? Loose parts are open-ended and versatile materials that can be used in a variety of ways. They can be found, bought, taken out of your recycling bin, or even taken from other art projects and repurposed. With loose parts children can use their imaginations to create in endless ways. Bee-utiful Window Art

Take out the contact paper and place it sticky side up on your work surface.
You may wish to tape the ends to your surface, so they stay. Use the hexagon and bee shapes to create a bee-utiful piece of window art.
Hang your piece on a window, sticky side to the glass, when you’re finished.
Honey Playdough

Take out the yellow playdough, wooden hexagons, tiny bees, honey wand, and rolling pin. Roll out your dough or squish it with your hands.
Add the hexagons to create honeycombs, use the honey wand to pretend you’re playing with honey, and invite the tiny bees to fly around your work.
What shapes will you create in your dough? What do you notice about the textures and shapes you create with these tools? How does the dough feel when you knead and mold it?
