Support for Bilingual Classrooms or Classrooms with English Language Learners
Dual Language Learners are children learning two or more languages at the same time. Research has shown that supporting families in continuing to use their first language at home is part of a well-rounded language acquisition strategy. It is important to offer a wide range of language materials to build vocabulary in any language. There are so many languages being spoken in schools today that it is impossible to have materials specific to each language. Look for materials that develop strong language skills for all students.
