ECERS-3: Fine motor 3.4 - Materials at different levels of difficulty are accessible (Ex: simple and complex puzzles; larger and smaller interlocking blocks; smaller and larger stringing beads).

ITERS-3: Fine motor 7.2 - Staff show extended interest as children use fine motor materials. (Ex: playfully engage children with materials; show how to string beads)

ITERS-3: Fine motor 5.1 - At least 10 different choices of appropriate fine motor materials accessible throughout the observation.

FCCERS-R: Math/number 7.2 - Math/number activities requiring more input from provider are offered for preschoolers and school-agers who attend full day at least every 2 weeks (ex. making a chart to compare children's height; counting and recording number of birds at bird feeder; cooking projects).

ECERS-3: Math materials and activities 5.1 - At least 10 different appropriate math materials, with at least 3 from each of the 3 categories listed, are accessible for at least 1 hour during the observation.
